Public health engineering covers the water and drainage systems a building depends on every day, and it is one of the disciplines most likely to cause disruption when it is done badly. Saints Contracting installs, upgrades and maintains hot and cold water services, above ground drainage, sanitaryware and water treatment for commercial and public sector buildings across Carlisle, Cumbria and the North West.

Every installation is designed and built to current Water Regulations and to Legionella compliance standards, with the temperature control, dead-leg avoidance and flushing regimes that keep a system safe once the building is occupied. We are a WaterSafe approved contractor and WIAPS registered, so work on the incoming supply and on stored water systems is carried out by an approved installer.

Public health packages are frequently delivered alongside our mechanical works. A plant room renewal, for example, will usually take in the domestic hot water generation, the cold water storage and the above ground drainage at the same time. We also take on public health as a standalone package where another contractor is holding the mechanical and electrical scope.
