Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 August 2026

This policy explains how Saints Contracting (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses personal data when you use this website or contact us through it. We are the data controller for that information, and we handle it in line with UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Who we are

Saints Contracting is a mechanical and electrical contractor based in Carlisle. If you have any questions about this policy or about how we use your data, contact us:

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your telephone number (optional)
  • The service you are interested in
  • The details you include in your message

Like most websites, our hosting provider also automatically records limited technical information — such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested — in server logs, which help keep the site secure and working correctly. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use the information you send us solely to respond to your enquiry, to provide the information or quotation you have asked for, and to manage any work that follows. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not use your details for marketing.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data or share it for marketing. We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements:

  • Resend — delivers the enquiry from our website to our inbox as an email.
  • Vercel — hosts this website and processes the technical server-log data described above.

These providers may process data on servers outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or an adequacy decision. We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work. Where an enquiry does not lead to a project, we generally delete it within 24 months of our last contact with you, unless we need to keep it longer to meet a legal, accounting or contractual obligation.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your data, or restrict how we use it;
  • object to our processing of your data;
  • ask us to transfer your data to another provider, where applicable.

To exercise any of these rights, email projects@saintscontracting.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
